Disturbed finally has a new album

It has been two years since the widly popular Indestrucable came out. But with the new album Asylum, Disturbed does not dissapoint. Now being a huge fan Disturbed and the album Indestrucable, i can honestly say that this album is a worthy. Though i don't personally find it as good as Indestrucable, it deffinetly won't leave you bored or dissapoint. I have not bought the album, but through iTunes i have bought a few songs and through youtube i have listened to most if not all of the songs. My favorite is Another Way To Die, i really liked the slower intro to it. SOme other songs i really like(not in order) are Asylum(title track), Never Again, Warrior, My Child and The Infection.
One thing i wish to talk about, is how the intro sounds very similar to Indestrucable. It is differnt, but i did feel like i heard it before. After skimming through my Disturbed songs, i realized it. I even played them at the same time and found they do VERY similar. Even with this, Warior is a great song and deserves to be heard. Espically since the lyrics are very awesome.

Whats new in the movie business?

Indie films are sky rocketing. With no small thanks to Jason Reitman, who directed the widly popular Juno, Up In The Air and Thank You For Smoking. If you dont know, Indie films are small budget movies usual being a Drama. Since other genres cost a lot more. So whats new for this genre? Well one that im extremly excited for is the thriller "Buried" which features Ryan Reynolds stuck in a coffin with only a lighter, a knife and a phone. The whole movie takes place in the coffin and is around 90 minutes long, since thats all the time he has to live before he suffocates. Even though this movie only has one scene, it still cost 2 million dollars. Which is very cheap for moives. Another strange thing, is that the movie was shot in only 17 days.
Another big genre, will be 3D movies. This will be the third time, 3D movies have tried to get big. A+I think this time, they will stay. This industry must thank movies like Avatar, Clash Of The Titans, Alice In Wonderland, and Toy Story 3. Which are leading the box office and fronting the new race for top 3D movie. 3D movies that should never have came into existence are Step Up 3D and Piranhas 3D. Now these had stunning visuals, but thats all they have to offer. Some could say the same for Clash Of The Titans. But i found Clash poorly made, but it at least entertained me for its duration and i didn't even see it in 3D.
Lastly, comic book movies are huge again. After the original Batmans, they kind of died out. But now they are bigger than ever. Some big leaders are the Christopher Nolan Batmans and the Spiderman series. But there has been some non series made. Most notibly, Sin City and Kickass. Most people ust assume superhero movies to be just fun, but thanks to most of these moives people now know that comic book movies can be taken seriously.

Review of Taxi Driver

Well i just exited out of Windows Media, after finishing the infamous Taxi Driver. I must say, this movie deffinetly lives up to its reputation. I was shocked that even Scorsesse could make such a masterful and perfect picture. Starting with the plot and going to the score, this movie never faults. Though some people may say some scenes drag on, i could not get it enough of Deniro as this crazed man on a quest.
I'll start with the acting. Deniro was perfect casted as the man whose mising a few screws. In ever scene, he did the best he possibly could. Even it scenes when he's not talking, he just LOOKs like a crazed man. And when the "You talkin' to me?..." scene came up, i was literally stunned. I've heard that line so many times. But i never knew it came from this and i never how HOW it should be said. I will sadly have to stop saying that line, since i would bring disgrace on Deniro's pitch perfect acting.
Onto Jodie Foster. From what i had heard, it seemed like she was Deniros leading lady. But shes only in the last half/third of the movie. Though once she finally does show up, she's there for good. I never really liked her, espically in Silence Of The Lambs, but she's nearly as perfect as Deniro. One scene to note, is when her and Deniro are in the diner and she starts laughing. You could tell it was a fake laugh, but it didn't seem like it was Jodie doing a bad job laughing. It seemed like the charcater was doing a fake laugh. It hards to explain, but basicly everything that would seem like faulty acting seemed like the character being overly dramatic. Which makes her acting, a hundred times better
The script is near perfect. With only a few dragging scenes throughout. I also just love how he made the main character a taxi driver, instead of a big business or someone average movie character. It really opened the movie to a whole new perspective and feel to it. They probaly could have changed it and made it a little darker and more interesting. But i dont think they NEEDED to change anything.
    I give this a 5 out of 5 or a 10 out of 10.

Review of Takers

This weekend(Actually last weekend, i just forgot) i saw Scott Pilgrim and Takers. Well Takers, has almost ever hiest movie cliche ever evented stuffed into it. Its like mixing the Oceans, Inception and countless other movies together and taking away all the best parts. The only thing differnt is that their "Big Job", is a lot less than any other hiest movie. It also has a little bit of A-Team in thier, will the all-star cast leading this movie.
So is it worth it? For me, this movie worked. I wouldn't say its nearly as good(or as much fun) as the Oceans. But this movie holds it own, with some pretty decent acting. Most notibly, would be Chris Brown. Yes, remember him? The guy who "beat up" Rihana. Well he part of the main cast and he actual doesn't ruin this movie. Given that his part isn't to hard, but still. Who would've expected Chris Brown to be able to act better than any Disney star? Well i didn't. Another actor to mention, is Matt Dillon. Who was in a previous hiest movie this year(Armored), were he played the leader of this bad guys. Well in Takers, he plays the leader of the cops who GET the bad guys.
The plot isn't the greatest, but it still gives you some funny one liners and a fun and action packer movie. i give takers a3(possible 3 1/2) out of 5 or around an 8 out of 10. I give this moive a mild recremendation. Its more of a movie night at home with the family.

Review of Scott Pilgrim VS. The World

As i exited the theater and threw my empty candy box away, i dreamed of living in a crazy videogame world. I got this idea from the movie i had just seen, "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World". For me, this movie was funny, quirky, touching, action packed, and stunning effects left and right. Now all of this is one sided. Since some people might not get the humor and might get bored with the 90s video game effects. But this movie wss based off graphic novels, which were written in the 90s. Also, i think the dated effects added to funny and light heartedness of this movie. Even if people do like the effects, they might get bored with them by the final climatic ending. I was not bored. I could have easily seen them bring more in from the books, adding in length. Just so i could get a little more of this cool movie.
If you do not know, this movie is from the director of "Shaun Of The Dead" and "Hot Fuzz". Personel, i found Scott Pilgrim funnier and more orginal than both of his previous films. I will probaly get many people who disagree, but Scott Pilgrim just grabbed me someway and won't let me go.
I give it a 4 out of 5, or 8 1/2 out of 10. I would recremend this to people, who enjoyed his previous movies. Or just want something new.

Horror movies suck ass(Currently)

I'm going to list three/four main reasons why recent(2000-Present) horrors suck. Now there have been some decent/great ones, that i will respect to.

I'm going to start with the obvious and say that it's because all they are is a guy in a mask and gallons of blood and fake body parts. Older horror films had real villians, real plots, real suspense and they didn't rely on blood and gore. They had real actors who could really put you in the movie and make you believe its really happening. Not just playboy wanna be's who are willing to take their shirts off, or pretty eye candy(Megan Fox). Plus, there was a variety of how and where they died. Now its all "They died having sex in some weird place they shouldn't have been". Or they went to a cursed building. Where some of their friends had just died, but they ignored the screams and figured it was just some joke. Plus, The bad guy always ends up being a close friend of the main cast and he/she's always the one you suspect the least. And when they finally reveal him/her as the killer, its supposed to be a huge "GASP" moment, but everyone has already seen it thirty times before.

Second, most horror films are remakes or close to it. Some of the well known ones are "Friday the 13th", "Halloween", "Nightmare on Elm Street", "Last house on the left" and the endless remakes/sequels of "The Exorcist". They are also remaking all the Wes Craven classics(^asi just noted) and instead of having plot and suspense, they just fill them with nudity and gore. Another factor that makes up 30% of these movies are loud noises, sharp camera angles and movement that gives a feel of nausea, and quick pop ups of the bad guy. Even though these scenes are obviously coming a mile away(and repeatly happen), the director and audience seem to find them scary.

Going further with the sequel idea; There are no new ideas floating around. Almost every movie has already been done one way or another. Even if that exact plot hasn't been done, then its just a rip off of a few differnt movies. Some very good exceptions are "Shaun Of The Dead", "Zombieland", "Daybreakers" and even though i did not like it "Paranormal Activity". These movies are knew looks on some classic horror film subjects like zombies, vampires, and ghost/posession. Though some of these movies may not scare todays viewers, they are at least entertaining and a much needed breath of fresh air. Another new idea, is the movie "Buried". Which is a suspense thriller, BUT the whole movie is only showing the inside of a coffin. Where a guy(Ryan Renyolds) was buried alive and all he has is an I-Phone and Lighter.

Why Music Sucks Today

The biggest reason is F*cking Indie crap. Now i do dabble in it and do enjoy the peaceful feel and sound of it, like some true fans. But most people are doing it cause, well simply beacause they are idiots and think its cool. This is truly, the new hippie trend. Since most 21st century "hippies" are now peacefully rocking out to Modest Mouse and Arcade Fire. Example; I new a girl two years ago who was all about being a "hippie" and oldies rock, though she would deny it all cause thats what was "cool" back then. But now she listens to her new aged Indie crap and again denys she's part of the trend.
But there are some true Indie fans and people who like simply because its good music. It can be hard to identify them, but here are some tips:
1-Doesn't JUST listen to Indie.
2-Likes more then than popular bands, like Arcade Fire.
3-Wasn't part of the Hippie trend.
4-Doesn't where Bob Marley shirts(This can vary)
5-Doesn't try to look unclean and dirty.

NOW IF 3 OR MORE of these fit you, then your good. IF none fit you and you listen to Indie, then you are a true dumb@ss and need to stop following gay @ss trends. Cause everyone can tell you only do it for the trend and you have no life. IF you have a problem with this list, then go cry to your "friends" cause i dont a shit.

NOTE!!!: Some/most Indie bands are good, so dont get me wrong. I enjoy the music, its mainly the fans i hate.

WTF IS WITH THE NEW TRENDS??!

So if you not noticed, a lot of new trends have started. One of the more recent ones, is the "I heart(symbol) boobies" bracelets. This trend is mostly for the highschool crew, but i have seen it in many other places. Now i would be fine with this trend, i honestly found it funny the first few times i saw them. But what most people don't know(I also didn't know at first), is that these bracelets are supporting breast cancer. Now since they're mainly being sold at Tillys, it makes some since. But if you even read the whole bracelet, you'll notice it says "Save A Breast". I'm still a little curious as to how these became popular so fast. Example; Friday, no one has them. Monday, more than fifty percent has them. So how did something like this become so popular so fast? If you know, leave a comment explaining your answer or send my an email at goldenboxfilms@gmail.com.
Another popular trend are the shaped rubberband bracelets. If you have not seen these, they are differnt colored rubberbands shaped like animals, foods, words, and even the occansional car. But when you where them, they seem normal. Its only after you take them off do they take shape. Now this trend, took a more normal pace to become widly popular and i think its a more real and better trend. Since the reason people like them, is for what they are. Unlike the "Boobies" bracelet trend. These bracelets also have a much more wider range, going from 3rd grade to highschool.

If you have any more trends, leave a comment giving its name or a brief desricption and i will look into you. You can also send me an email at goldenboxfilms@gmail.com

Will There Be A Third Batman?

There has been a lot of mixed talk of there being a third Batman movie. But it had been confirmed and should be released in 2011. It  is currently being called "Shadow Of The Bat". Its confirmed that Christopher Nolan(The Director) will be doing it, but it will sadly be his last Batman. The same Batman(Christian Bale) is signed on, but the character Rachel Dawes is still unkown.

There has also been a lot of talk for who the villian is. It has been confirmed that the main villian will be The Riddler played by Johnny Depp. Supporting villians will be Black Mask(In the Photo) and Harley Quinn(Kristen Bell). There will also be a short part featuring Deadshot and Deathstroke The Terminator, who are the deadliest asassains in comic book history. Also, a quick cameo of the joker in Arkham Aslyum played by Crispin Glover.

Inception

First, i have to say that this movie is a masterpiece. Going from the script to the acting to the effects, its all in perfect portion to the other. I cannot say anything about the plot, without giving anything away. But i will say !!SPOLIER!! that there's no way in knowing whats truly going on. It could be reality, it could be Molls Dream, Cobbs dream, or Arthurs attempt to try and save an old friend from insanity(Cobb)!!SPOLIER OVER!!

I dont give a shit what other critics say, this movie owns. Its by far the best picture of the year and will surely stay that way. And if anyone tries to say that Transformers 2: Revenge Of The Fallen is better. Well then go f*cking shove it up your stupid little @ss whole you Fing moron. I think one example will explain my point. Michael Bay tries to be funny by giving a robot testicles. My 5th grade brother didn't even laugh at that. The only good thing about Transformers 2, was the slow-mo scene with Megan Fox.

YEAH, SO GO F*CKING SEE THIS NOW.

Reviews of movies currently in theaters

I haven't gone to the movies recently, due to the high prices. But here's a review of all the movies i have seen over the past few weeks. I do not have Inception on here, simply because that deserves its own post.

The Other Guys: Honestly, i was very afraid to see this. Since Mark Walhberg is a leading role in a comedy. But him playing a hard ass and Will Ferrell playing a classic Ferrel character, really pulled through for me. The first half is hillarious and drops a lot in the second part. But it still gets some good laughs in. This movie is generally a spoff of cop movies, but it doesnt delibertly come out and make fun of them. I'd give it a solid A-

Dinner for Schmucks: A good comedy, but not as good as The Other Guys. I wont say anything, because i dont wish to ruin anything for you guys. A good C+

Toy Story 3: Not gonna lie. If you haven't seen this film yet, go and see it NOW! A deffinet A+

I guess this would be an intro post, explaining everything.

This blog is for all entertainment. I will be mainly focusing on Movies, Comics and Music. Since Thats what i know best. This is a completely honest blog, i will state my opinions no matter how harsh. So if things suck, they will get the sh*t r#ped out of them. Thats all for now.
